Multi Engine Rating
The Multi-Engine Rating is typically completed under Part 61 and does not have a minimum number of training hours. The training is relatively short and can often be completed in under 10 hours. It focuses on mastering essential maneuvers and procedures specific to multi-engine aircraft.
Most importantly you will have to understand the Aerodynamics and Forces that come into play when flying a Multi Engine Aircraft with One engine in operative.
The training includes stalls, slow flight, steep turns, takeoffs, landings, and engine failure procedures. You’ll learn how to handle an engine failure during different phases of flight, including takeoff, and how to safely manage single-engine operations.
This training prepares you for the unique challenges of flying multi-engine aircraft, emphasizing safety and control in both normal and emergency situations.
