1. Read the Pilots Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge

The Pilot’s Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge (PHAK) by the FAA is an essential resource for student pilots and seasoned aviators alike. Covering everything from aerodynamics and weather to flight instruments and airspace, the PHAK provides a comprehensive foundation in aviation principles. Reading it thoroughly helps pilots build a strong understanding of both basic and advanced concepts, equipping them with the knowledge they need for safe, informed flying. The PHAK is also a key study resource for exams and checkrides, making it a must-read for anyone pursuing or advancing their pilot certification.
